The Abingdon County Hall Museum reopened on 7 July 2012 with three floors of new exhibitions.

Outside the museum at 11.45am, Martha Howe-Douglas, star of Horrible Histories, cut the ribbon to open the museum. She also signed Horrible Histories books.

During September and October 2012, the museum roof was open on Saturdays and Sundays only from 10.30am - 3.30pm, weather permitting. When open, entry to the roof is £2 for adults, £1 for concessions and 50p for children over six years old. We regret that under 5's are not allowed on the roof.
